We love bird dogs and bird hunting.​

We are blessed to live in the beautiful and serene Tooele Valley, nestled between the adventurous Stansbury and Oquirrh Mountains of Utah.  The mountains and surrounding valleys offer many places to explore, hike, backpack, hunt and let our dogs run free.  

 

Our dogs are very much a part of our family and way of life.  All of our dogs live in the house or deluxe outdoor kennel year-round, with access to a full yard to run, play, explore, and wrestle. We systematically train our dogs daily for bird hunting, but also how to be a good citizen in public.

 

Jason is a wildlife biologist and grouse expert.  He has a Master's Degree in Wildlife Ecology.  Jason has researched and managed wild grouse for over 20 years, hence the name of the kennel.  Jason is also an avid upland game hunter and enjoys big game hunting as well.  He has years of experience training dogs on obedience and advanced bird hunting.  Jason's passion is training dogs to become superior and well-trained hunters.  He teaches his dogs to become amazing bird dogs in the field, as well as calm and affectionate in the home.

 

April Sunshine is an Elementary School Teacher and Literacy Expert.  She has a Master's Degree in Literacy Education.  April is also an avid upland and big game hunter.  She is extremely passionate about her husband, kids, dogs, and the outdoors.  She considers her dogs hunting partners as well as her sweet babies. She loves taking the kids in a stroller for long walks, with her dogs protectively by their side.  She is trained in the health and grooming of her dogs.  She enjoys teaching new and old dog owners the proper techniques to care for and groom their puppies.

 

Brittanys are family dogs that just happen to excel at bird hunting.  Our dogs are a family passion, and all of us are involved.  As you can see from the photo, our kids get involved with dog training too.  If you look closely you can see Trigger on point in the left edge of the frame.

 

Brittanys are loyal, gentle, calm, and trustworthy around children, family, and friends. They are loving and affectionate and enjoy cuddling with loved ones on the couch.  In contrast, in the wide-open fields they love to run and run all day.  They have a significant amount of energy that makes them amazing companions on any outdoor adventure.  Whether you are playing Frisbee at the park, jogging, hiking, or hunting they are in their element.
