Grouse Gold Trigger's "Freckles"
We have decided to sell one of our 1-year-old males. We kept 2 males last summer, with the intent of keeping a replacement for Trigger and selling the other as a started dog. We have decided to sell Freckles. He was the pick of the litter out of 9 puppies. He is an absolute amazing dog, extremely obedient and eager to please. I wish we had room to keep him. He does not have the extended hunting range I am looking for in my breeding program. Freckles runs from 30-100 yards, ideal for most hunters. He has gone through my “Started Dog” training program, so he is socialized to people, children, other dogs, introduced to birds, guns, e-collar, hunting, and knows basic commands (leash, kennel, whoa, heel, etc.); he has been hunting numerous times. I would recommend Freckles to any active family or bird hunter.

Freckles is on the smaller side for a male Brittany. He has a beautiful straight coat, with lots of ticking, hence the name Freckles. He is a gentle dog, but with the Brittany energy. He is perfectly suited to be a family dog, for an active family.
He is the son of the famous Trigger. The Sire, Trigger has pointed and retrieved EVERY upland game species in North America, and pointed thousands of WILD game birds! Only 5 dogs in history have done this. He is truly a remarkable bird dog. He even has a book written about him available on Amazon.

Both parents are purebred and AKC registered (papered). The dam, Penny, is a TRI color, orange, liver and white. Trigger, is white and orange. Both parents are proven hunters. You will have to look for a long time to find dogs this good.

GROUSE FINDING CHOCOLATE WILLOW, "Willow"
Willow is a beautiful and gentle dog. She is white and liver and has a classic bird dog look to her. Willow is exceptionally gentle and loving, an absolute sweetheart! She is lean and long, and a bit smaller than our other Brittanys. Willow is extremely intelligent, which is a huge benefit for any dog. She is bold and adventurous. All these traits make her extremely easy to train and she learns very quickly. Willow ranges out to about 35-75 yards. Unfortunately, this is closer than I like my Brittanys to run, hence she doesn't meet our very stringent criteria for breeding.
She is 3 years old and intact, however she has never had a litter. I would recommend her to an active family that enjoys time in the outdoors. I would also recommend getting her spayed. She will hunt birds and has been trained to do so, however I would not recommend her to a family with hunting being the primary reason for having her. She knows basic commands, is house broken, kennel, vehicle trained. She is a purebred AKC papered dog. Current on all shots and vaccines. She comes with all paperwork.

Her genetics are top notch, with many National Champions in her Bloodlines. Last 4 generation highlights include: 3 National Champions in blood lines (NFC Bean's Blaze, NFC Hi Proof Rum Runner, NFC Shady's Tia Maria) and 20 Field Champions and 2 Dual Champions .

In the home, Willow is calm and relaxed. She gets along very well with other dogs. She does great with our tiny house dog and other people. She is very inquisitive and is always watching what people are doing.

Willow is 20 inches tall and weighs 31 pounds.

I am amazed at his ability to track down upland birds.
He is developing a really great point which has improved my shooting!
I do a lot of walking in really tough terrain and he has really tough feet. My brother has a GSP that often has problems with his pads but not with him!
We have been able to get some ruffed grouse, blue grouse, and chukars.
He really does have an on and off switch which is really amazing to me! In the house or in the truck he is really calm. However, when he is in the field he has amazing energy!
